Many AI tools generate a range by using inputs like injury severity, age, and future care assumptions. The problem is that AI cannot see what your treating providers documented, whether your condition stabilized, or what functional limits you actually have.
In practice, an insurer will often focus on questions such as:
- Causation: does the medical record tie your neurological symptoms to the specific crash/work incident?
- Severity details: what your records say about motor/sensory function, complications, and prognosis.
- Proof of future needs: whether there’s support for lifetime care, assistive devices, and home/vehicle adjustments.
When those pieces are missing or unclear, the “estimate” can drift far from what a strong case can prove.
