Online tools usually estimate value using simplified inputs (injury severity, age, “future care” assumptions). That may help you understand categories of damages, but it often misses what matters most in actual Texas negotiations:
- Causation proof (what caused the injury, and how quickly symptoms appeared)
- Functional limitations (what you can and can’t do now—transfers, walking tolerance, self-care)
- Complications that can change costs dramatically (spasticity, skin issues, respiratory complications)
- A credible life-care plan supported by clinicians—not generic guesses
In other words, the best “calculator” is the one built from medical documentation and consistent testimony, not just a diagnosis label.
