Injury value isn’t decided by diagnosis alone. For claims arising from roadway collisions, pedestrian impacts, slip-and-fall incidents, or jobsite accidents, insurers typically scrutinize:
- Causation (what event actually caused the neurological damage)
- Severity (complete vs. incomplete impairment and stability over time)
- Functional impact (mobility, bowel/bladder function, transfers, skin care, respiratory needs)
- Future care requirements (durable medical equipment, therapy cadence, home modifications)
That means the “number” you see from a calculator is only as useful as the accuracy of the inputs behind it. If you entered guessed severity or underestimated long-term limitations, the result won’t reflect what a Massachusetts claim can support.
