Before you contact counsel, you can reduce stress by collecting a “starter packet.” You don’t need everything—just the items that help identify exposure and connect it to medical records.
**Grab or document: **
- The name of the product(s) if you still have the bottle, label, or receipt (photo is fine)
- Any photos of the yard/garden area where the product was used (application spots, storage location)
- Approximate dates: when you (or a worker) applied weed killer and when symptoms began
- Your diagnosis path: first abnormal test, specialist visit, biopsy/imaging (if applicable)
- Contact info for the doctor(s) you’ve seen most recently
If you used a lawn service, keep any paperwork showing what company applied and what products were used.
