After a rideshare crash, the choices you make early can matter just as much as the injuries you’re left with. Use this as a practical guide:
- Seek medical care promptly (even if injuries feel “minor” at first). In Texas, documenting a timely medical evaluation helps connect symptoms to the crash.
- Get your ride details: trip receipt, driver name/photo, pickup/drop-off points, and any screenshots from the app.
- Preserve crash evidence: take photos of vehicle damage, road conditions, traffic signals, and where you were seated/positioned in the vehicle.
- Write down a timeline while it’s fresh—what you noticed right after impact, when symptoms started, and what you could and couldn’t do afterward.
- Be careful with insurance statements. Adjusters may ask questions that sound routine but can be used to minimize injuries or argue fault.
If you’re unsure what’s “enough” to start, that’s normal. We can review what you have and tell you what to request next.
