The first decisions after a crash can strongly influence whether your claim is accepted quickly—or delayed or reduced.
Right away:
- Check injuries and get medical care. Indiana insurers often look for consistent documentation of symptoms.
- Report the crash if there’s any injury, vehicle damage, or dispute about what occurred.
- Capture trip details from your app (ride time, pickup/drop-off, driver info, route if available).
- Document the scene: vehicle positions, traffic signals, lane markings, and any hazards (construction zones are common around the area).
Be careful with statements: An adjuster may ask for an account quickly. Even when you want to cooperate, an early statement can be taken out of context. You don’t need to solve the legal/coverage puzzle on the spot.
