Rideshare trips can cross multiple “coverage phases” depending on whether the driver was actively transporting you, waiting for a pickup, or en route. In Streator, that can matter when crashes occur during:
- Busy commute windows and sudden traffic slowdowns
- Pickup/drop-off moments near busier intersections and downtown areas
- Night and weekend travel when drivers may be dealing with higher call volume
- Situations where the other driver claims the rideshare vehicle “should have handled it differently”
Even when you believe the rideshare driver (or another motorist) caused the crash, insurers may try to narrow the story—questioning what happened “right before impact,” whether your injuries truly relate to the collision, or whether the rideshare driver’s coverage applies.
