In the days after a crash, the most important task is not “finding the perfect words.” It’s preserving evidence while it’s still available.
Rideshare records can get harder to obtain if you wait—especially if you’re trying to pull trip details while also dealing with medical appointments, work restrictions, and follow-up imaging.
Do this early (especially in Clovis traffic conditions):
- Save screenshots of the trip (pickup/drop-off, driver name/photo, timestamps, receipt/charge confirmation).
- Photograph the scene if it’s safe: vehicle position, lane placement, traffic signals, and nearby signage.
- Request the crash report number (and keep a copy).
- Write down what you remember: where the impact occurred, what direction you were traveling, and when symptoms started.
If you’re using an AI tool to keep things organized, treat it as a checklist, not a replacement for legal review.
