In pedestrian cases, details matter quickly. In Apex, that can mean traffic cameras that overwrite footage, drivers who don’t stay available, and witnesses who move on.
After a crash, focus on:
- Medical documentation right away (even if you think you’ll “walk it off”).
- Photos and short videos of where you were standing, crosswalk markings, lighting, vehicle position, and visible injuries.
- Witness information (names and a quick note of what they saw).
- Incident details: time of day, weather, whether the driver braked, and any signs/signals you relied on.
The goal isn’t to “build your case alone.” It’s to preserve the factual foundation your attorney will use to challenge a denial or a minimization.
