Online tools can be useful because they prompt you to gather the same categories of information insurers and adjusters look for—medical treatment, work impact, and the crash facts.
But an AI estimate can be wrong for a few common Berkley scenarios:
- Traffic flow and fast merges on busy corridors can create disputes over who had the last clear chance.
- Suburban roadway design (lane positioning, turning angles, and visibility at intersections) can affect how fault is argued.
- Early symptom reporting: riders sometimes assume soreness will fade and delay care; insurers may later argue the injuries weren’t caused by the crash.
A calculator can’t weigh those local fact issues the way a claim file can.
