Many online tools generate a rough range by using common inputs: injury type, treatment length, and wage loss. In real cases, though, settlements often swing because of factors that a form can’t fully capture:
- Fault disputes tied to turn/merge situations. Motorcycle crashes frequently depend on who had the better line of sight—especially when drivers are changing lanes, turning from side streets, or pulling into traffic.
- Documentation differences. Two riders with similar injuries can have very different outcomes if one has clearer ER and follow-up records.
- Traffic and roadway context. A crash that occurs near a high-activity corridor or during shifting road conditions can produce evidence issues (visibility, debris, lane markings, lighting) that affect how insurers view negligence.
In other words, an estimate is a starting point, not a promise.
