Online tools are built to “model” outcomes using typical patterns from past cases. That means they may do a decent job of rough math for medical bills and wage loss—but they can miss local realities that influence value, such as:
- Intersection-heavy routes and turning conflicts near busy corridors
- High-speed merging and lane changes during peak commute hours
- Tourist and rental vehicle traffic, which can increase multi-vehicle disputes
- Construction zones and changing traffic patterns that complicate fault
If the calculator doesn’t reflect those facts—or if evidence is incomplete—the estimate may land far from what a fair settlement should be.
