Most online tools estimate settlement value by combining inputs like injury description, treatment length, and work impact. That can be useful if you need a starting point—but in California, settlement outcomes are still driven by liability and causation and by how convincingly your medical records connect your symptoms to the crash.
A calculator also can’t account for:
- Whether Napa-area traffic patterns make certain fault arguments more likely (for example, sudden lane changes or failure to yield)
- Gaps in documentation—especially if you delayed treatment or didn’t get imaging when symptoms persisted
- Disputes about whether your injuries were caused by the crash or worsened by another factor
Think of a calculator as a way to organize questions for a lawyer—not as a substitute for claim valuation based on your medical file and evidence.
