Online settlement estimate tools are useful when you’re overwhelmed and need structure. In practice, they usually combine:
- basic accident inputs (where/when, who was involved, crash type)
- injury categories (soft-tissue, fractures, concussion symptoms, surgery, rehab)
- documentation you enter (medical visits, imaging, prescriptions, work impact)
However, AI estimates can’t access the evidence insurers care about most in real cases—such as the clarity of fault, the consistency of your medical timeline, and whether an injury is supported by objective findings.
In California, insurers may also scrutinize whether your treatment was reasonable and medically necessary, and whether your reported symptoms align with what providers documented. That means your actual case value often depends less on the name of the injury and more on the record you can show.
