Many AI tools ask you for details like the diagnosis, the type of harm, and how long recovery took. Then they output a rough range by using simplified assumptions about damages.
That can feel useful when you’re overwhelmed—particularly if you’re dealing with:
- lingering symptoms after a procedure
- delayed referrals or worsening outcomes
- medication problems that changed your treatment plan
But the biggest gap is usually not “how badly you were hurt.” The biggest gap is whether the evidence can support the legal story: (1) what the provider should have done, (2) how the deviation caused the harm, and (3) what losses are provable. AI can’t review the chart the way Utah medical experts and attorneys do.
