AI-based calculators generally work from simplified inputs (injury type, severity, treatment length, and expenses). That’s why the numbers can look comforting when you’re stressed.
But in real medical negligence claims in Tennessee, value is determined by evidence that doesn’t fit neatly into a form—such as:
- whether the chart supports a missed diagnosis or delayed escalation
- whether the provider met the standard of care for the patient’s symptoms and risk factors
- how medical experts connect the negligence to the harm (causation)
- whether damages documentation is consistent across records, bills, and follow-up notes
In other words, AI may estimate categories of harm, but it can’t confirm the legal elements that insurers evaluate.
