Most “calculator” tools work by taking a few inputs—injury severity, treatment duration, expenses—and producing an estimated range. That can be a useful starting point when you’re overwhelmed.
In Passaic County and across Northern NJ, however, many claims hinge on details that a form can’t capture, such as:
- Delayed follow-up after ER discharge (a common scenario when symptoms worsen after you go home)
- Care coordination failures between primary care, specialists, and inpatient teams
- Documentation gaps—for example, missing notes about worsening symptoms, abnormal test results, or patient communications
A calculator can’t reliably account for how those factual issues play out under New Jersey negligence standards.
