Most calculators work by taking the details you enter—injury type, treatment length, medical bills—and then applying simplified damage assumptions. That can give you a “directionally useful” starting point.
Still, calculator-style estimates often miss the factors that matter most in New Jersey malpractice disputes, including:
- Whether the chart supports causation (did the negligence truly lead to the harm?)
- Whether your injuries were documented with objective findings, not just symptoms
- How consistently follow-up care occurred (gaps can be used to argue alternative causes)
- Whether experts are aligned on both standard of care and causation
In other words, an estimate can’t replace a case review of the medical record.
