AI calculators commonly generate a rough range by using inputs like injury severity, treatment length, and bills. That can be helpful when you’re trying to make sense of categories of damages.
But the estimate can become misleading when the real dispute turns on issues that an online form can’t see—such as:
- Whether the provider’s actions matched the standard of care in similar circumstances
- Whether the medical team’s documentation clearly supports causation (that the negligence caused your specific outcome)
- Whether there were pre-existing conditions or missed follow-up steps that changed the timeline
In Michigan, claims still rise or fall on evidence. An AI output may sound certain, but it’s not a substitute for a record-driven assessment of liability and damages.
