Most calculators work by converting limited inputs (injury severity, treatment length, and basic expenses) into a rough range. That can be useful for orientation, particularly if you’re early in the process and trying to understand what categories exist.
What a calculator usually can’t account for is what decides many Kentucky claims:
- Whether the provider actually deviated from the standard of care in the circumstances
- Whether the negligence caused the harm, as opposed to an unrelated complication
- How clearly your records establish timelines (symptoms, tests, diagnoses, follow-ups)
- How well damages are documented, especially when recovery affects your ability to work
In other words: the tool can estimate categories. Your claim must prove liability and causation.
