AI tools typically generate a range based on the information you enter—injury severity, treatment timeline, costs, and sometimes descriptions of pain or disability. That can help you understand categories of damages.
What AI usually cannot do is evaluate:
- The medical causation link between the alleged mistake and the final injury
- Whether the provider’s decisions aligned with the standard of care in the same circumstances
- Gaps in records that are common when care is split across facilities
In a Rialto case, those gaps can matter. For example, if a resident went from an outpatient appointment to an ER visit, then to follow-up imaging, the “timeline” can look messy online—but a lawyer will look at the actual chart, orders, results, and communications.
