Internal injuries can be time-sensitive. If you’re experiencing any of the following after an accident or impact, treat it as urgent and seek emergency care:
- Severe or worsening abdominal pain or swelling
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, or fainting
- Persistent vomiting, black/bloody stools, or coughing blood
- Severe headache, confusion, weakness, or worsening dizziness
- Rapid heart rate, extreme fatigue, or signs of shock
Even if symptoms seem “manageable,” escalation can happen—especially after blunt force trauma.
