Plano is spread out, but the traffic corridors are busy: major arterials, shopping centers, and commuter routes where drivers may not realize they struck someone until they’re already moving on.
In hit-and-run cases, complexity usually shows up in three ways:
- Surveillance footage retention is short. Businesses near intersections and retail areas may overwrite recordings within days. Traffic cameras and private systems can also have different retention schedules.
- Witnesses are hard to pin down. People often pull away to get home, pick up kids, or return to work—so their recollections fade quickly.
- Medical proof needs timing. If treatment delays occur while you’re trying to “see if it gets better,” insurers may argue your injuries weren’t caused by the crash.
The sooner you secure a legal plan, the more likely you can keep the strongest evidence usable.
