In a smaller city, it’s still common for collisions to occur in places where cameras may exist—but are not always easy to identify or obtain quickly. A hit-and-run can also involve:
- Commuter traffic patterns (drivers traveling through and around town at peak times)
- Commercial and retail areas where lots of vehicles pass by and footage is overwritten
- Pedestrian activity near local destinations where injuries can be severe and immediate identification isn’t always possible
When the other driver leaves, the timeline becomes critical. Evidence can disappear before you even think to ask for it—especially video that’s stored temporarily.
