Even if the elevator or escalator is working normally again, the “why” behind the malfunction, misleveling, sudden stopping, or door/gate problem still matters. The sooner you act, the easier it is to:
- identify the building’s maintenance provider(s)
- request inspection and repair records
- preserve incident paperwork and witness details
