Online estimators can be useful for education, but they rarely account for the details that matter in real Puget Sound-area cases.
For example, two incidents can both be “dog bites,” yet settlement value may differ dramatically if:
- the wound required follow-up care beyond the first visit
- the dog owner’s account conflicts with photos, witness statements, or medical descriptions
- the bite happened in a public setting where additional witnesses or video may exist
- the injury caused lingering fear that affects daily routines (walks, errands, child-related activities)
A calculator can’t verify those facts. Washington settlements are driven by what can be proven and explained clearly—medical documentation, credibility, and the strength of liability evidence.
