A calculator can be a useful starting point, but it often assumes a “best case” set of facts. In real Buda cases, insurers may argue that:
- the dog wasn’t known to be aggressive,
- the bite happened in a context that suggests the injured person provoked or surprised the animal,
- the medical treatment doesn’t support the severity you’re describing, or
- some portions of your claimed damages aren’t tied to the bite.
If your claim is still developing—swelling, infection concerns, follow-up wound checks, or lingering anxiety about dogs—an early estimate can look reasonable while still being incomplete.
Bottom line: treat any settlement calculator as a planning tool, not a promise.
