An AI tool typically uses a set of assumptions based on what you type in—injury category, whether treatment included stitches or follow-up care, and how long recovery lasted.
In practice, insurers don’t evaluate claims based on the story alone. They look for proof that:
- the bite caused the injuries described in your medical records,
- treatment was medically necessary and properly documented,
- the impact wasn’t temporary or exaggerated, and
- responsibility belongs to the dog owner (or another responsible party).
Because of that, two people can enter similar facts into a calculator and still receive very different results once a Texas adjuster reviews records, photos, and witness information.
