Most online tools ask for basic details—bite location, treatment timeline, and whether the injury left scarring. That can provide a broad range.
But Mauldin cases often hinge on practical details that calculators can’t see:
- Whether the bite happened in a shared neighborhood setting (front yards, apartment-adjacent areas, shared paths)
- Whether there were witnesses nearby who can describe the dog’s behavior
- Whether you went to an urgent care or ER quickly enough for records to match your symptoms
- Whether the dog owner reported the incident promptly or tried to minimize it afterward
A calculator is best used as a conversation starter, not a substitute for evaluating liability and proof.
