Residents often look for a calculator after they receive an initial bill, a tetanus shot, stitches, or a recommendation for follow-up care. They want to know whether the outcome will be closer to “a few thousand” or something more substantial.
But the same bite can produce very different settlement expectations depending on local realities, such as:
- Where the incident happened (front yard, apartment common area, workplace, or a visitor’s stop)
- Whether the dog owner reported the incident promptly
- How quickly medical records were obtained (and whether photos were taken early)
- Whether the injury required follow-up in Lawton-area clinics
A calculator can’t see those details. It also can’t evaluate how an insurer might question causation, severity, or documentation.
