A calculator is usually built to produce an estimate range based on inputs like:
- where the bite occurred (home, neighborhood, public area)
- visible injury severity (cuts, punctures, scarring risk)
- whether surgery, stitches, or follow-up wound care were needed
- recovery duration and whether symptoms persisted
What it can’t do is account for the things that most often decide outcome in real Stow claims—such as how quickly you sought care, whether the record ties the injury to the incident, and whether liability is contested.
In other words: use an estimate for orientation, not as a prediction of what you’ll actually receive.
