AI tools generally work by taking inputs—such as the date of the bite, treatment level, and whether there were visible injuries—and producing a range. For many people, that range answers the immediate question: “Am I looking at a small claim or something more serious?”
In Mentor, though, the value of your case can change dramatically based on factors like:
- whether the dog’s owner had prior knowledge of aggressive behavior
- whether the incident happened in a setting where people reasonably expect pets to be controlled
- what your medical records say about causation and severity
- how quickly you reported the incident and preserved evidence
An AI estimate can’t verify those points. It can only mirror the assumptions built into the tool.
