After a dog attack, it’s common to see an insurer move quickly—sometimes offering a check before all treatment is complete. That’s where a calculator search often starts: you want a fast, understandable range.
But most online estimators are built for broad scenarios. They can’t reliably account for:
- whether your wound required follow-up care beyond the initial visit
- whether medical records clearly describe severity and function limits
- whether the dog’s owner had prior notice or a history that can be documented
- what North Dakota courts and insurers view as persuasive evidence
In other words: the calculator can help you ask better questions, but it shouldn’t replace a case review.
