Corning’s mix of neighborhoods, foot traffic, and frequent visitors means dog-bite incidents aren’t always straightforward. An online tool may assume a clean liability scenario, but real adjusters often focus on details such as:
- whether the bite happened in a private yard vs. a public-facing area
- whether anyone saw the dog’s behavior before the attack
- whether medical records describe the injury consistently with your account
- whether the owner claims provocation or that the bite was accidental
That’s why two people can enter similar injury information into the same estimator and receive very different ranges. In practice, settlement value depends less on the existence of a wound and more on how well the wound, treatment, and causation are documented.
