Most AI tools are built to deliver a “range” based on common inputs (treatment, scarring, hospital vs. outpatient care). What they usually can’t capture is what local insurers and adjusters look for when deciding whether to pay—especially when:
- The incident happened in a high-foot-traffic area where witnesses may be inconsistent.
- The dog owner disputes what occurred (including whether the person was on private property or whether the dog had shown aggression before).
- Your injury worsened after the initial visit—something that can be common when wounds become infected or require additional follow-up.
In other words, the calculator might predict a number, but it can’t verify the evidence that supports that number.
