An online estimate may use injury details you type in (bite location, treatment, scarring, etc.). That can be helpful for understanding categories of damages—but it can’t properly account for:
- Whether Indiana considers the owner at fault based on the facts (foreseeability, control, and what was known or should have been known)
- How consistent your account is with medical records (and how insurers look for gaps)
- Whether documentation supports ongoing limitations (pain, function, mobility, or treatment needs)
Insurers often move quickly after an injury to limit exposure. A calculator can’t protect you from an undervalued early settlement.
