AI tools typically generate a range based on the information you enter—like whether the bite broke the skin, what medical treatment you received, and how long recovery took.
That’s helpful if you’re trying to understand what categories of damages might be in play. However, calculators can’t reliably account for the real issues insurance adjusters focus on in Illinois, such as:
- whether the dog’s owner had notice of prior aggression
- what witnesses saw (and whether their accounts match medical documentation)
- how consistent your description of events is over time
- whether the medical record clearly ties the injury to the bite
In other words: an AI estimate may tell you what could happen, but it can’t confirm what will be provable.
