Many people search for a calculator after an attack because they want a “number” they can plan around. The issue is that local claims turn on details that generic tools can’t reliably account for, such as:
- Whether you reported the incident promptly and created a record while details were fresh
- How injuries were documented by the treating provider (wound descriptions, function limits, infection concerns)
- Whether liability is clearly supported (for example, statements from neighbors or witnesses who saw the dog’s behavior)
- How your injuries affect everyday life—including missed shifts or inability to perform job duties
A calculator may give a range, but it can’t weigh the credibility of evidence or predict how an adjuster will frame causation.
