Online tools can be useful for understanding what categories of losses often matter (medical bills, wage impacts, and non-economic harm). But a calculator can’t see the details that decide whether you get fair compensation after a dog bite, such as:
- whether the incident is supported by photos, medical notes, or witness accounts
- how the treating provider described the wound and symptoms
- whether the defense argues the dog was provoked or that the injury wasn’t caused by the bite
- whether your treatment timeline matches the injuries you say you suffered
In other words, a calculator is a starting point—your evidence is what determines the number.
