Many AI tools ask for a few basics (bite location, treatment type, whether there are scars). In Westminster, those inputs can be incomplete because the real dispute is often about what happened around the bite, not only the bite itself.
For example:
- The bite occurred in a shared courtyard or building entry and multiple people may have relevant perspectives.
- The injured person was walking a dog or navigating a crowded sidewalk—details that can affect how insurers frame “provocation” or reasonable handling.
- The injured party is a child or visitor who may not clearly describe what the dog did right before contact.
- The owner’s response was delayed, which can affect whether photos, witness statements, and early medical notes line up.
An AI calculator can’t verify those circumstances. A lawyer can.
