AI tools generally translate a few inputs (injury description, treatment length, whether there was scarring) into a range. That can help with planning—but it often struggles with the things that matter most in liability and damage disputes:
- What happened immediately before the bite (e.g., whether the dog was reacting to a person passing by, a delivery interaction, or a fence line encounter)
- How quickly you sought care and whether early documentation matches later symptoms
- Whether the dog owner had notice of prior aggressive behavior
- The consistency of your story with photos, witness statements, and medical notes
In other words: an AI range may look reasonable, but insurers still evaluate causation, credibility, and documentation quality. If your records don’t tell a clear story, the “potential” number can shrink fast.
