Most online tools are built to estimate outcomes from limited inputs. They don’t know the details that often matter most in our local cases, such as:
- How public spaces were involved (sidewalks, apartment courtyards, shared entries, and parks)
- Whether witnesses were nearby (and whether their accounts remained consistent)
- How quickly treatment was obtained after the bite
- Whether the dog owner had reason to know the risk (prior incidents, complaints, or behavior history)
In short: a calculator may help you understand the categories of damages, but it can’t weigh credibility, legal defenses, or the strength of your evidence.
