Richmond has a mix of residential neighborhoods, busy roadways, and areas where people walk, jog, or stop at local businesses. Dog bites can occur during everyday routines—things like:
- Pedestrians crossing near homes or small businesses
- Visitors or delivery drivers interacting with a dog outside a residence
- Kids playing in the neighborhood who unexpectedly get close to a dog
- People walking near properties where dogs may not be restrained or supervised
In practice, insurers look hard at sequence and responsibility: what the dog owner knew (or should have known), whether reasonable steps were taken to prevent harm, and how the incident unfolded. An AI tool may generate a range, but it can’t evaluate the credibility of witness accounts, the context of the encounter, or whether the evidence supports a strong liability theory.
