Lake Zurich is largely suburban, and that often means:
- You may see providers at different clinics (and sometimes different medical systems).
- Imaging and lab results might be reviewed later than you expect.
- “Abnormal” findings can sit in a portal or report system until someone acts.
- Follow-ups are sometimes delayed by availability, referral wait times, or administrative handoffs.
When all of that happens, the legal question isn’t simply “was the outcome bad?” It’s whether the provider’s diagnostic process and follow-up were reasonable for the patient’s symptoms, timing, and available information.
