Airbag problems don’t always look the same in every case. In the Gallup area, people often first realize something is wrong when:
- They were in a collision that should have triggered deployment, but the airbag did not deploy.
- The airbag deployed, but the injury they suffered seems inconsistent with what a properly functioning restraint system should do.
- They received a repair/inspection afterward and later learned that an airbag component was replaced or the system was reprogrammed.
- They were involved in a crash and later discovered the vehicle may have been tied to a safety recall involving restraint components.
Even when the vehicle appears “fixed,” the underlying failure may still be reflected in inspection records, repair history, and electronic event data—if it’s preserved.
