Not every airbag problem automatically means you have a defective product claim. But certain details commonly show up in cases we review:
- No deployment after a collision where the vehicle should have activated the restraint system.
- Delayed or improper deployment that occurred under conditions that didn’t match the crash.
- Airbag deployment with abnormal severity, contributing to facial injuries, burns, or other trauma.
- Recall or service campaign history connected to the airbag system or related components.
- Repair work that replaced airbag components, sensors, or the inflator after the crash.
If you’re able, write down what you noticed at the scene—before memories fade. Even small facts (warning lights, dashboard messages, what happened immediately before impact) can help connect the malfunction to your injury.
