In our area, crush injuries are frequently tied to real-world scenarios like:
- Caught-in/between incidents involving loading equipment, compactors, presses, conveyors, or moving parts.
- Forklift or dock-related pinning, especially during loading/unloading when traffic in and around the work zone is busy.
- Construction and staging accidents where materials shift, equipment is moved into place, or safety barriers/spotters are insufficient.
- Entrapment during maintenance or setup, including when lockout/tagout procedures are delayed or incomplete.
Even if the accident happened at work, the legal questions still come down to the same core issues: who controlled the worksite, what safety duties applied, and whether the conditions were reasonably safe.
