In Lynbrook and throughout Nassau County, many crush incidents occur at places where documentation is controlled—employers, contractors, property managers, and equipment operators. Photos get overwritten, video is looped, maintenance logs get “updated,” and witnesses move on.
That’s why the first priority is medical care—but the second priority should be preserving proof:
- Save copies of any incident report numbers, work status notes, and restriction letters.
- Record names of supervisors, coworkers, and anyone who saw the hazard.
- Keep track of where the incident occurred (loading dock, garage bay, warehouse aisle, construction staging area, etc.).
If you wait, it can become harder to show how the accident happened and who had the duty to prevent it.
