Construction sites near busy local roads and residential areas tend to create additional pressure points:
- Traffic and access issues can delay emergency response, witness availability, or the ability to document conditions.
- Multiple contractors and trades are common on phased projects, meaning responsibility may not be as simple as “the company on site.”
- Rapid cleanup after an incident can remove the very evidence insurers later claim doesn’t exist.
- Commuter and pedestrian traffic around the work zone can increase confusion about what happened and who was where at the time.
When evidence disappears quickly, the legal work has to move quickly too.
