Kingston projects aren’t just “on a quiet lot.” Work frequently overlaps with daily traffic patterns—delivery vehicles, utility work, street parking limitations, and pedestrian activity near residential and business areas. That matters because many jobsite injuries in our area involve:
- Struck-by incidents involving trucks, skid steers, or delivery vans entering/exiting work zones
- Slip/trip hazards caused by debris, cord runs, or uneven surfaces where the public or workers must pass
- Unsafe routing and barriers where fencing, cones, or signage don’t match how people actually move through the work area
When the accident happens in a place where people are still commuting or walking nearby, investigators may look harder at how the site was controlled—what warnings were in place, whether the hazard zone was properly separated, and whether the at-risk group was foreseeable.
